Earth-Soma weaves together therapy, creativity, embodiment, and the natural world. It is both a approach and a lived practice, a way of listening to the body, tending to expression, and remembering our belonging to the natural world and within.
The word soma comes from the Greek, meaning “the body as lived from within.”
Rather than seeing the body as something separate or mechanical, this approach understands it as a living, sensing presence : full of our personal stories and innate embodied wisdom. When we slow down and attune to its language, the pulse of breath, the movement of emotion, the quiet rhythm beneath thought we begin to meet ourselves with greater understanding and compassion.
In this space, art-making becomes a creative mentor ::
gifting us colour, form and touch as a form of dialogue
What feels silenced or unseen can be expressed and explored. The creative process offers the body and nervous system a language, one that supports expression, release, regulation, and integration. It’s not about producing an artwork, but about engaging in a living conversation with the inner world.
Earth-Soma draws on integrative mediums such as painting, clay, movement, and ritual : each offering a different pathway for the body and emotions to speak.
Nature calls us home into connection and belonging.
Working with deep listening and tending to our natural environment we slowly re:remember our innate and embodied relationship with her. In this approach, the offerings in group work and 1:1 are guided by natures seasonal and cyclical rhythms. Through this rooted wisdom we are invited into deeper connection, relationship with our natural world and in turn ourselves.
At its heart, Earth-Soma is a path
of returning
to the body,
to creativity,
and to the land
It’s a space to listen more deeply, to soften what has been held in tension, and to rediscover our quiet wisdom. Over time, these practices nurture resilience, presence, and a grounded sense of home
within ourselves and within the world around us.
